Ikeda collected three birdies and two bogeys in his one-under effort to move to 10 under par. Toru Suzuki and Jay Choi share second on seven under par following rounds of 67 and 68 respectively.
Suzuki made four birdies in a bogey-free round while Choi sank six birdies but three bogeys dented his charge.
Defending champion Edoardo Molinari lies tied for fourth on six under par alongside Kim Do-hoon, who slipped from second following a 72.
