Get out of the woods with your putter

When you find your ball in the woods, on bare ground and in between low lying trees, one good solution is to take out your flat stick and putt your way out to the safety of the fairway or even into some playable rough.

When you find your ball in the woods, on bare ground and in between low lying trees, one good solution is to take out your flat stick and putt your way out to the safety of the fairway or even into some playable rough.
As long as your pathway out of the trees is bare, putting you ball will keep it away from low-lying branches and will give it run as it heads for safety.
Some tips:
Keep your body and your head still and don’t sway as you stand over the ball and make your putting stroke, ensuring always that you focus on the back of the ball as you swing back and through into a low finish.
