GARCIA 33s FOR FINAL MAJOR

After his heartbreak at the Open Championship, Sergio Garcia is 33/1 to make amends at next month’s USPGA.
After his heartbreak at the Open Championship, Sergio Garcia is 33/1 to make amends at next month’s USPGA.
The Spaniard was defeated in the four-hole playoff by Padraig Harrington at Carnoustie and will now have his sights set on Southern Hills which starts on the August 9.
Garcia has a score to settle with that venue as well having been one off the pace in the US Open in 2001 before blowing out in the final round with a 77.
Harrington is also a 33/1 chance for back-to-back majors at Stan James as Tiger Woods unsurprisingly dominates the market at 10/3.
Phil Mickelson is 14/1 with Ernie Els 20s while the winner of the US Open at the course in 2001, Retief Goosen, is a 28/1 chance.
Coral make Garcia a 6/4 chance to break his major duck before the end of 2010 and 1/2 not to while the Silver Medal winner Rory McIlroy is 16/1 to win a major in the next three years.
Harrington’s win has taken him over the two million Euro mark on the European Order of Merit and he is now 4/5 favourite at bet 365 to finish top earner for the season.
Garcia has climbed into 10th spot but trails by almost one million Euros and he is a 33/1 chance.
