FootJoy, the market leader in golf Shoes and Gloves, is once more the preferred choice of the bulk of the world’s elite at the 140th Open Championship.
Some 60% of the field playing in this year’s tournament at Royal St Georges’ have opted for the superior comfort, styling and performance of FootJoy, as they compete for golf’s oldest and most coveted prize.
For more than 30 years, FootJoy has sat comfortably at the top of the pile in The Open Championship shoe count.
A total of 94 players, including US Open Champion Rory McIlroy, 2-time Open Champion Padraig Harrington, defending champion Louis Oosthuizen, as well as World No 1 Luke Donald and World No 2 Lee Westwood, have chosen the market leader for this week’s four-lap journey around Royal St Georges links.
This represents 60% of the field which is more than three times that of its nearest competitor.
FootJoy also topped the glove count, with a total of 65 golfers choosing the superior fit, feel and grip of the market-leader, this figure in turn representing a 41% share of the field, more than double that of its nearest competitor.
