Donald set for Australian debut

World number one Luke Donald has committed to playing in the Australian Masters in December.
World number one Luke Donald has committed to playing in the Australian Masters in December.
The event takes place from December 15 – 18, and will mark Donald’s first appearance in Australia.
Donald will be joined by, among others, fellow Englishman Ian Poulter.
Tiger Woods won the tournament in 2009, and also participated there last year, but he will not be making a third appearance.
“I have never played in Australia but I have heard so many great things about the sandbelt courses, the people there, and the country’s culture,” said Donald.
“I am really looking forward to the trip and the experience.”
Defending champion Stuart Appleby will lead a strong Australian contingent in the field, while event officials will be focused on attratcing even more international stars in the months to come.
