John Daly has pulled out of the Singapore Open prior to completing his second round.

Daly, who was playing in the tournament due to a sponsor’s invite, shot an opening round 78 and was four-over in his second round (leaving him on a total of 11-over) when he decided to call it a day.

Event organisers said that Daly had cited fatigue as the reasoning for his decision. It is not the first time that Daly has pulled out midway through an event, with the American gaining a reputation for doing so when he has had a bad start.

Neither Daly nor his manager could be reached for comment.

The 46-year-old has been troubled by alcohol and marital problems for more than 15 years that have left him a shadow of the player that won the 1991 US PGA Championship and 1995 British Open.
