Couples on track to first senior win

Fred Couples is on track to pick up his first title in his debut in a full-field Champions Tour event.
Fred Couples was on track after the second round of the ACE Group Classic on Saturday to pick up his first title in his debut in a full-field Champions Tour event.
Smooth-swinging Couples sank a 50-foot putt from well off the green on the 12th for eagle, then made a 12-footer for birdie on 13 to go to 5 under before second-round play was called due to darkness.
Dan Forsman is in second place, three shots behind Couples on 2 under after the two shared the first-round lead at 4 under after finishing their delayed first rounds earlier in the day.
Couples is one of 38 golfers who will need to tee off early on Sunday morning to complete their second rounds before they can play in their final rounds at the Quarry, in Naples, Florida, the event having been delayed when strong winds made it impossible to complete the first round on Friday.
