The British branch of adidas golf has unveiled a new range of high-tech golf shirts that, among other things, can keep you dry, keep you cool and even give you muscular support.
The Basingstoke-based company say that their 2008 spring-summer line has been developed specifically to help the golfer wearing them “focus, swing and perform better and have confirmed that adidas staffers, Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia on the US PGA Tour and Natalie Gulbis, one of the most glamorous players on the LPGA Tour, have been wearing their new TechFit PowerWeb shirt which has been developed to support the back and to promote better posture.
It also features TPU powerbands which help promote solid ball striking, adidas claim, adding that by enhancing muscle stability, it also reduces fatigue..
Right now the shirt (pictured above left) is available in white only and costs £39
Moisture-managing Clima-Cool fabrics designed to improve air-flow for a more breathable shirt that reduces skin temperature, keeps you cool and comfortable while simultaneously wicking sweat away from the skin to keep you dry, has been used for the new adidas polo zip shirt (above right) which comes in a variety of colour combinations including freeze/navy, lobster/navy, university red/navy, white/navy and dusk/navy and has a suggested retail selling price of £45.
Striped polo shirts made from the same fabric and costing a similar price are available in navy/freeze/lobster, dusk/indigo/black, turquoise/graphite/white and university red/black/sun.
