Tiger Woods may be set to design his second golf course – this one in Mexico.
More than one report on Tuesday indicated that Woods had been approached to design a new golf course at the Diamante development in Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
A representative of the property owners said the company is currently having discussions with Woods, but that as yet no contract had been signed and that nothing could be announced publicly.
The developers are “shopping for a big name” and looking to break ground in the “next month or two” it has been said.
The property already boasts a course designed by Davis Love III, which opened to critical acclaim.
To date, Woods is the designer of Punta Brava, a super-exclusive course and development slated to open in 2013 along seven miles of coast line in Ensenada, Baja, California.
The other two developments Woods has been involved in as a designer are Al Ruwaya in Dubai and The Cliffs in North Carolina, both of which have fallen by the wayside due to the global collapse in the real estate market.
