Lisbon spring breaks to put a smile on golfers’ faces
Renowned for its outstanding mixture of history, culture and gastronomy, Lisbon also provides access to a plethora of first-class golf courses, and players can experience some of its finest this spring with ORIZONTE – Lisbon Golf’s new stay-and-play breaks.
Portugal’s largest golf course management company is offering golfers across Europe outstanding value over the coming months with a combination of three and four-night deals, with four nights’ hotel, bed-and-breakfast and three rounds of golf bookable from only €334 per person (approx £295).
Available from March 1 until the end of May (excluding March 2-4), the eye-catching ‘Sesimbra’ packages feature golf at Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club and Aroeira – both regularly ranked among Europe’s top 100 golfing venues.
Bed-and-breakfast accommodation is provided at the four-star Sana Sesimbra Hotel in the picturesque coastal village of Sesimbra, where guests will have ample opportunity to enjoy the freshly-cooked seafood, pristine coastline and sandy beaches that Lisbon’s Costa Azul region is famed for.
Package prices, which are based on two people sharing a room, start from €232 per person (approx £205) for a three-night, two-round stay including 18 holes each at Quinta do Peru and Aroeira, which features two courses. Four-night breaks featuring three rounds of golf include an additional 18 holes at Aroeira, with one lunch (excluding drinks) at Aroeira also included.
ORIZONTE – Lisbon Golf’s portfolio offers the chance to play six of the leading courses in close proximity to Portugal’s capital in the beautiful Costa Azul region, together with exceptional value-for-money on a wide range of accommodation options.
Included among its championship courses are Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club, the two layouts at Ribagolfe – regarded as one of the finest in the Lisbon region and was once described as the ‘Valderrama of Portugal’ – and Aroeira, twice the venue for the Portuguese Open and recently included in a list of Continental Europe’s Top 100 Golf Resorts.
