Bring your own playing partner this winter

Nobody should struggle to find a playing partner this winter at QHotels and DoubleTree by Hilton golf resorts.
The eight QHotels and DoubleTree by Hilton resorts are match-funding their golf members throughout the winter with the introduction of an innovative scheme called MATCH PLAY, from November 1.
As an additional membership benefit, the MATCH PLAY scheme allows every golf member to nominate a second, non-member to receive exactly the same golf playing rights throughout the winter months … on a complimentary basis!
For example, a seven-day member gets to gift a seven-day membership; a junior member may award another junior membership.
The pioneering MATCH PLAY concept is a further initiative from the resorts’ management company, RBH, to encourage more people to play golf.
Alan Foley, RBH’s director of golf & spa sales, explained: “The main purpose of the MATCH PLAY initiative is to encourage new people into the game, to get more women playing golf, and to inspire dormant golfers to get back out there again on the fairways. The ultimate success for RBH would be if gentlemen members introduced a female family member or friend to take up the game.”
The eight golf resorts will also introduce a range of group and individual lesson programmes to help people grasp the basics of the sport if they are complete beginners.
MATCH PLAY launches on November 1 and runs until March 31, 2019*.
As the largest golf resort operator in the UK, RBH manages eight championship and tournament golf courses across the UK, hosting events from the European Tour, European Seniors Tour, Ladies European Tour and the PGA.
