I’m also a published children’s author with two fiction and two non-fiction books available to buy in all good bookshops, and there’s another two in the pipeline.
As I’m a sucker for punishment I spend my days off visiting primary schools talking and workshopping with children about writing, books and generally mucking about for a few hours.
I grew up in the horse racing town of Epsom, just south of London. But a career in the saddle never called. Being 6ft3in at 12 didn’t help.
So I took a different path and have a BA (Hons) in Media Production and an NVQ Level IV in journalism. I left a job as a City journalist in London to move to Leeds and follow my passion for sport, while keeping a close eye on those I left behind down south – West Ham, Sutton Utd and Surrey CC.
