The world of golf is currently full of startlingly youthful talent and yet Johnson's name is rarely included with those of McIlroy, Fowler, Ishikawa and others. He may be slightly older than most of them at 25, but he has done something the more esteemed names haven't: completed multiple wins on the big tours. In 65 starts at PGA, WGC and European Tour level he has three victories. His whippy swing creates huge clubhead speed meaning that he is very big off the tee and his putting touch is surer than many assume. The potential weakness in his quest for a green jacket is an aggressive approach that could lead to big numbers if it goes wrong, plus a slightly careless short game. But don't overlook his claims. He was tenth in the PGA Championship last August and ranked sixth for Greens in regulation when finishing 30th on debut at Augusta last year.
