Snedeker to play CIMB Classic
Last updated: 4th September 2013
Brandt Snedeker, Hideki Matsuyama, Keegan Bradley and Rickie Fowler have all confirmed they will play in the CIMB Classic.
Organisers would have been delighted by the news of the high-profile entries, after Open champion Phil Mickelson and Nick Watney also confirmed their participation in the Malaysian event, which will award FedEx Cup points for the first time.
The CIMB Classic, an event co-sanctioned by the PGA and Asian tours, will feature a 78-player field - 60 from the PGA Tour, 10 from the Asian Tour and eight sponsor exemptions. Two spots have been reserved for Malaysian pros, with Rashid Ismail already securing one of the available berths.
Last year, at The Mines Resort and Golf Club, Watney closed with a final-round 61 to win at 22-under 262, one shot clear of Robert Garrigus and Bo Van Pelt, and three ahead of Tiger Woods.
