Bradley tired of 'cheat' jibes
Last updated: 27th February 2013
Keegan Bradley admits he's tired of being called a cheat for using an anchored putter.
The 26-year-old became the first player to win a major while using a long putter when he claimed the US PGA Championship in 2011. However, with the USGA and the R&A announcing that they will seek a rule change outlawing the use of belly putters, players making use of the club have come in for criticism.
"I take great offence to people calling me a cheater. I think that's unbelievable," said Bradley.
"It's been pretty difficult especially lately. I'm being called a cheater more than ever by fans, by some writers.
"It's really tough. I can't imagine how people can say that to me or to anybody out here. I'm sick of it to be honest."
The 2011 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year admits he was boosted by the US PGA Tour's announcement that they were against the move to ban long putters.
"I'm very proud and it makes me feel good that my tour, the tour I play on, has my back," he said.
