Tiger Woods will play his first two rounds in Abu Dhabi this week with World No 1 Luke Donald and World No 3 Rory McIlroy.
The former Long-time World No 1, who is now the World No 25, is making his debut in the Gulf state this week, having opted to play here ahead of the Farmers Insurance Open, this week's US PGA Tour event at Torrey Pines which he has won no fewer than six times.
Woods will take on the world's top four players in Abu Dhabi with No 2 Lee Westwood and No 4 Martin Kaymer teeing it up together alongside Sergio Garcia, who produced a stunning return to form with back-to-back victories in Spain last October.
Kaymer is the defending champion and is something of a course specialist having won on three of his previous four visits to Abu Dhabi.
Last year he thrashed the field by a stunning eight shots.
Other notable groups see Darren Clarke, Jason Day and Alvaro Quiros playing together and Padraig Harrington, Charl Schwartzel and Thomas Bjorn teaming up.
