Suzuki - rare win.

Suzuki - rare win.

Toru Suzuki captured his first Japan Tour title in five years with a dominant five-shot victory at the Mynavi ABC Championship.

The veteran started the final day five shots ahead of the field and maintained that advantage with a steady round of four birdies against three bogeys for a one-under 71 and a four-day total of 14 under par.

Takashi Kanemoto produced the lowest score of the tournament with a seven-under 65 but it was not enough to deny Suzuki, meaning he had to settle for second on nine under.

Azuma Yano (68) and Hiroyuki Fujita (72) claimed a share of third place on eight under overall while defending champion Ryo Ishikawa carded a one-over 73 to finish in a share of sixth, eight shots off the pace.
