Sabbatini added to sa open roster
Sabbatini made his mark on the PGA Tour duing 2007, ending up as the only South African to win on the PGA Tour that season and breaking into the top 10 of the world golf rankings in the process.
Last year the fiery Durban-born player finished with ten top-ten finishes, including tying for second in the Masters, earning just under $5 million.
The four-time PGA Tour winner joins the likes of Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, reigning Masters Champion Trevor Immelman, Tim Clarkand James Kingston at the Pearl Valley Golf Estates from 18 - 21 December, and a record crowd is expected to turn out to see the stars play.
Aside from an impressive South African contingent, the likes of Darren Clarke, Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson will also be bidding to claim the world's second oldest Open and a share of the €1 million prize purse.
