The Englishman was in charge when Europe lost for the first time since 1999 at Valhalla in September with Paul Azinger's American team emerging 16½-11½ victors.
The European skipper came in for some severe criticism in the press over his handling of team affairs with his pairings selections, singles order and even public speaking called into question in the wake of the defeat.
But, far from being left scarred by the experience, the 51-year-old would happily accept the role again and has no regrets about his time at the helm.
"I would do it again because the buzz of being in the team room with everybody was really special. I absolutely loved every minute of it - it was a great honour for me," he stated.
"The Ryder Cup has been a major part of my career. I played for 20 years as a player and I thought it would be a great honour to be there first-hand and it was. It was fantastic.
"In the team room that week, I brought in the caddies, the wives, fiancees and girlfriends, and I deemed the team as 36 people. We all had meetings as a group and the atmosphere was really special in there. Would I do the same all over again? Yeah, I loved the experience."
