Woods: I’m trying everything
Tiger Woods says he still has a chance to play in the Masters and is 'trying everything' to be fit in time.
Woods has not played since withdrawing from the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in early February with recurring back pain.
But the 14-time major champion did his best to put a positive spin on his situation in an interview with Good Morning America on Monday. Woods was appearing on the show to promote his new book The 1997 Masters: My Story.
Asked if he will be playing at Augusta, Woods said: "God, I hope so. I'm trying to get back and play.
"I love that event. It has meant so much to me in my life. It has so much history and meaning to me, I'd love to get back.
"I know the mind is sharp," he said. "I just need to get the body willing to do it."

In a seperate interview with USA Today Sports, Woods also did not rule out the possibility of playing in the year's first major.
“I do have a chance,” he said. “I’m trying everything I possibly can to get to that point. I’m working, I’m working on my game. I just need to get to a point where I feel like I’m good enough, and I’m healthy enough to do it.
“I’ve been a part of so many Masters over the course of my career, I know exactly what it takes to get ready for that event. Now it’s my job to go out there and get ready. I hope I can.”
Woods also took part in a putting competition with Good Morning America host Michael Strahan, and showed that he definitely still has some touch on the greens:
