Zurich Classic shortened to 54 holes
The Zurich Classic has been shortened to 54 holes after inclement weather suspended play once again on Sunday.
Brian Stuard and Jhonattan Vegas sit atop the leaderboard on 13-under, but only managed to get through five holes.
Bobby Wyatt surged up the leaderboard and sits in third place on 12-under, while Jamie Lovemark is in fourth on 11-under.
Meanwhile, world number one Jason Day is in a tie for fifth on 10-under, but is only through eight holes.
Stuard, who has not made a single bogey for the entire tournament, continued that streak on Sunday as he only made a birdie at the second, which also allowed him to retain his lead.
Vegas joined Stuard at the summit of the leaderboard courtesy of the consecutive birdies he made from seven feet at the first and second. Should the Venezuelan triumph at the Zurich Classic, he will win his second PGA Tour title.
Wyatt made four birdies and an eagle at the par-five second during the nine holes he managed to complete to shoot up 14 places on the leaderboard, while Lovemark fell down two places after making nothing but pars on the five holes he played.
Meanwhile, Day looked in ominous form before play was suspended as he made four birdies, which included a 30-foot putt at the eighth, and a bogey to move up five spots.
