McIlroy confirmed for Houston Open
Last updated: 7th February 2013
World number one Rory McIlroy has confirmed that he will play in the Houston Open, which takes place a fortnight before The Masters.
The Ulsterman - a two-time major winner - will be making his third start in the event since 2010.
This year, the event forms part of his "Six bags" charity initiative, with the 23-year-old playing the event with a bag emblazoned with the logo of Chinquapin Prep, a near-by school for disadvantaged pupils.
Following the event, the bag will be auctioned off through the McIlroy foundation and all proceeds raised will be given to the school.
Among other top players confirmed for the event are Louis Oosthuizen and Lee Westwood.
