Cink remains one of the most consistent performers on the PGA Tour and ended a four-year barren spell without a title at the Travelers Championship in June - his fifth victory overall. Cink's record in the season's final major has a very solid look to it as he has made all but two cuts in the past 10 years and enjoyed four top-20 finishes in that time. His best effort came at Medinah when tied third in 1999 and his current form suggests he is well up to repeating that sort of effort once again. If you adhere to the old theory of the PGA providing proven performers with a first major success then Cink has to be pretty high on your list of candidates.
