A good rule of thumb when playing into the wind is to see every 10-miles-per-hour of wind as equating to a one club wind.

In other words if you would normally hit a seven iron approach to a specific green when the wind is blowing at 10 mph into your face, you should club down by one club to a No six.

A 20 mph wind would equate to a two-club wind so for the same shot you would hit a five iron.
