A strong wind can badly affect the line your putt will take.

You should therefore look at how leaves or dust are being blown near the putting surface and take the following steps.

If a strong wind is blowing from left to right, close your stance by bringing the front foot forward. This will produce an inside-out swing of the clubface.

For right-to-left winds, open your stance by taking your front foot away from the ball.

You should also remember to widen your stance and get a little lower to increase your stability on windy days.
