PING were delighted to see one of their big stars, Lee Westwood, score a double triumph in Dubai.
Westwood secured the inaugural Dubai World Championship after a faultless final round 64 gave him a six-shot victory and with it The Race to Dubai title for 2009.
During the week Lee used the following PING equipment to great effect and in particular during the final round where he hit every fairway and green in regulation and produced a magical display of putting with his Redwood Anser.
G10 9° Deg Driver, i15 3-wood, Rapture V2 5-wood, I10 Irons 3-PW, Tour W Wedge 54/14 & 58/8 and a Redwood Anser putter
The 36-year-old became the eighth Englishman to win the Harry Vardon Trophy on two occasions or more.
As well as being his 32nd victory worldwide as a professional and his second victory on The European Tour this season, the win moved Westwood up to World Number Four in the Official World Golf Rankings, matching his highest career position.
Lee's victory also made him one of five players to have passed the €19million mark in European Tour Official Career Earnings.
