A private club where full members own shares in the club, Arlandastad Golf has two championship courses, The Masters, where the European Tour's 42nd tournament this season tees off on Thursday, and the New Course.

It also has a 9-hole floodlight course and a 4-hole practice course strictly reserved for members.

COURSES

The Masters Course
Designed by Sune Linde and Peter Chamberlain, this flat parkland course was opened in 1993 as a par 70,

Exposed to the wind and rain and with water hazards on twelve holes, The Masters Course is considered to be a rigorous challenge for golfers of all handicap levels.

It's greens, which have bent and poa grass are very true and smooth, it's Poa, bent and festuca-grassed fairways, though normally generous, are narrowed considerably for championship events and its Poa pratensis, rye grass and festuca rough is grown to 90mm.

An unusual feature of the course is that three of its first five holes are par 3's.

The New Course:
The par 71 New Course was opened in August 2001 and a good many club members consider it be the more difficult of Arlandastadt's two courses.

It is similar to an inland links thanks to its general layout and, especially, to the type of bunkering used to guard the greens.

Measuring 5,868 yards from the members tee and 4,850 from the forward tee, the New Course is shorter than the Masters Course, but because of its narrower fairways and the hazardous rough, is living proof that you don't necessarily need courses of over 7.000 yards to provide a stern test.

The Floodlight Course
Arlandastad Golf has a 1.600-yard, 9-hole, floodlight course consisting of two par fours and seven par threes. At par 29, this lighted course is an ideal place for after work practice or after dinner family fun, especially in the fall and early spring months.

The Practice Course
For the members of Arlandastad Golf there is a practice facility of four par 3 holes.

Along with it's courses Arlandastad offers:

- A well-stocked pro shop where clubs, trolleys and golf cars can be rented

- The usual locker room and practice facilities which include a driving range with covered tee boxes.

- Company golf days. Arlandastad Golf has developed into Sweden's leading establishment for company golf days. Creating a meeting place where golf, business, and personnel activities can come together, the club believes, can give a company added value. They can customize an event to suit the needs of the companies.

CLUB RULES FOR MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS

-Half of those playing in each group must have official handicaps.
- Keep your green fee receipts. They may be asked for at various control points around the course,
- Both steel and soft spiked shoes are permitted at Arlandastad Golf.
- Dogs on a leash are allowed on the club's courses if acceptable to all members of the group.
- Arlandastad Golf request that normal rounds take approximately 4 hours.
- The golf course maintenance staff has the right of way of all times.

Masters Course (everyday): Adults 600 kr (€64), Juniors 200 kr (€21.3)

New Course (everyday):Adults 400 kr €42.5; Juniors 200 kr (€21.3); Guest of member 200 kr (€21.3)

Rentals (everyday): Trolleys 30 kr (€3.2), Golf cars 300 kr (€32), Clubs 300 kr (€32)

MEMBERSHIP

The club offers two forms of membership which are:
- Full Membership: You must become a shareholder to become a full member to whom all the best privileges are given and features of all the courses made available.

- Seasonal memberships are also available which do not involve owning shares. Limited to a year, they come with fewer privileges than a full member.
